Will slowing down weight gain during pregnancy cause my baby to be too small?

I've got 13 weeks to go and I'm already almost at my goal weight for the total pregnancy! I gained too much during first trimester when I had to eat carbs constantly to not feel pukey and weird. My weight was actually slower in 2nd trimester than average. I'm just worried that if i try to eat less during the last trimester, my baby will get hurt from not enough food/nutrients. I'm not planning on starving myself at all, but trying to eat at a maintenance level (or a little extra) so that i only gain 5 or fewer more pounds. I don't want to end up overweight and increase my diabetes risk, but I also don't want to starve the baby!

Does anyone know the answer to this? Will the baby get the nutrients before I do?

Answer
Everything you gained will go to the fetus, you can maintain your weight now and the fetus will be fine.

What is going on when you all of a sudden stop craving certain foods during pregnancy?

I am 13 weeks pregnant. In the earlier stages of my pregnancy I was craving certain foods really bad. It stopped about 2 days ago. I feel hungry but I don't have cravings anymore.

Answer
It's normal for cravings to go away. Nothing to worry about.
