My chihuahua dog just got pregnant. I'm wondering if the food i give her is ok for her. The food is called Pedigree (for puppies). Is this food ok? If not, what other kind of food should i get?
Im not ashamed that she is pregnat! First of all, i had a boy chihuahua and then we thought he was lonely so we got a girl chihuahua and then she got pregnant me and my family are happy and NOT shamed!

Puppy food is the correct thing to be feeding a pregnant bitch, but Pedigree is one of the lowest quality dog foods you could feed. Try a higher quality dog food.
Examples of low quality foods to avoid: Anything you can find in a grocery store will be low end, Purina, Iams, Eukanuba, Science Diet, Royal Canin, Pedigree, Kibbles n' Bits, Beneful, Ol'Roy.
Examples of high quality foods to look for: Innova, Wellness, Solid Gold, Canidae All Life Stages, Fromm Four Star, Merrick, GO Natural, Nature's Variety Prairie, Nature's Logic, Artemis Fresh Mix, Timberwolf Organics.

Pregnant dog dry stool?

My dog is 61 days pregnant and she doesnt eat much, shes always sleeping and her stool is very dry and sandy.. Recently i changed her diet from kibbles to raw because she stopped eating anymore so i tried to feed her raw..is it because of this?
And also why does she always sleep? Is it because of her pregnancy? And why does her appetite has lessen??

Pregnant dogs should be fed puppy food so the puppy can get all the nutrients. Also, you shouldn't have changed her diet so abruptly.
If you have to resort to asking questions to strangers on yahoo answers, your dog shouldn't have been pregnant. She is too far along now to abort. Get a vet or professional to deliver the puppies and then spay your dog.

However, those may not be just symptoms. What if she is sick? Take her to the vet. The vet will be the only one who can help you now.
