Why do some women get sick during pregnancy and others don't?

I am 8 weeks pregnant, and to my surprise, nausea and barfing are almost non-existant. I feel queasy on occasion and have food aversions, but nothing like some women experience. I am starting to worry!
Is this normal? Have any of you gals made it though a pregnancy with very little sickness?

I had very little morning sickness (No Throwing up) I think i was sick maybe 2 times. I'm 14 weeks and the baby is doing great. Just relax and enjoy not being sick. Congrats & Good luck!

I've never been pregnant but i have had many friends and relatives that have gotten through a pregnancy with no/little sickness. My best friend is pregnant and she's been sick a lot but her sister, who is also pregnant, has had no sickness. My grandmother also said that when she gave birth she wasn't sick at all. She's also an RN and works in the birthing center at our hospital and she said she hears this all the time. I'd say it's nothing to worry about, i'd say you're pretty lucky.
