Q. But Iâm not really eating healthy or getting all the nutrients I need, thatâs why I think I need to change my diet a bitâ¦
Answer
Plenty of fresh fruit, green leafy vegetables, oily fish, lean red meat, chicken and wholegrain cereal, bread/pasta plus 2 or 3 portions of dairy per day. Basically the food pyramid will be good for your and your baby, have you heard of that? Basically more of the good stuff and less of the crap stuff but everything is fine in moderation, if you want a cheeseburger once a week then have one, its fine http://foodpyramid.org.uk/
You don't need to "eat for 2" just eat healthy food. Cut down on the processed junk food and try to limit your caffeine intake to just one or 2 cups of tea/coffee per day. Don't eat unpasteurised cheese or pate.
Make sure you are getting enough folic acid, this is the only supplement you need really, the other "pre natal" vitamins aren't required if you eat a balanced diet.

how to obtain a visitors visa for my husband to go to the uk?
Q. seasons greetings everyone. just a quick question for you. my husband and i are looking to travel next year to england for the 6 weeks holidays so we could spend it with family out there as that is where all my family live . now my husband is a jamaican citizen we have a son who will be 2 april 16th. iv just found out 2 weeks ago that i am 8 weeks pregnant. he was unable to come to assist with the birth of our son due to some complications with work. he has a good job out here so that's why we live in jamaica. this pregnancy may have some complications, but even if it didn't i couldn't see myself in the last trimester in jamaica. now the baby is due end of july/ august. my mum can only get a week or two off during that time of the year plus all the kids will be off school so no one cant come out to jamaica, my son is older now so there is plenty of things in england for him to do with the other kids. next year will be 3yrs since we have been married, my husband has never applied for any visas before as it has never been necessary so we are unsure of what to do. he has been granted 5 months leave for my pregnancy as he was not granted the first time. i really need him by my side especially as our son can be a hand full and he is clingy . we would need the visa from the end of the second trimester till the baby is born.my husband will be paying for all our flights to the uk and back, my parents want to take full responsibility for accommodation and food cost and the living expenses. so there is not a problem with money. i just don't want to try and then he gets turned down etc . we have land and a house that we rent out, we have a car and other assets plus he has a steady job. so someone please shed the light on what we should do so we can prepare from now. thanks
thanks Donna for your swift answer. i do go back and forth to the united kingdom for a good amount of time to see my parents and my brothers and sisters. now my ticket is booked to return to England on the 31st of march 2k11 i never stay longer then 5 months at a time in Jamaica, i did not think that this would complicate anything as this is what i had done for our first child who was also born in the UK. we will be returning to Jamaica when the baby is 4 weeks old. he has a good job and he can provide for us etc. isn't that what they want to see. he has no need to overstay in England when he is not even British.. what other options do we have as we do not want to live there. only spend the summer. and would it have been easier if i was not pregnant. thanks
@ pigeon pie. seems like you misunderstood the qs. i am a UK citizen born and bread. the visa is for my husband therefore the child will not be stateless, my son has dual citizenship as he is a born British and his father is Jamaican. i only have the right to stay in Jamaica and work until September 2011 when the stamp in my passport runs out. we have a good business out here. if we wanted to ;live in England then i would of applied for a spouse visa a long long time ago.

By the way. Having a baby in the UK does not give the baby British Citizenship. 1983 Act. You will have problems bring your child back to Jamaica. The child will become stateless.
Being pregnant and just coming to the UK know you are pregnant and planning to have your baby in the UK will case you a very big problem. If you do not tell them when you apply for your VISA
