Food cravings during pregnancy?

Q. i will be 12 weeks pregnant saterday and havent really had any cravings . i was wonderin when you started to get them in your first pregnancy and what they are like? is it just a strong urge to eat certain foods and does everyone get them? haha sorry if this is a weird question im a first timer and curious. thanks! :)

I'm prone to having food cravings as it is so when I got pregnant they just got worse and more frequent. I started to notice more intense cravings as early as 6 weeks. I'm now only 9w6d and I definitely have cravings. I've noticed that the cravings are more for foods that I can tolerate. I have only had nausea, no actual throwing up, but when I have a craving and eat something else I get nauseous very easily so I've started eating what I'm craving and it works out pretty well. I've not had any crazy cravings, just cravings for normal foods I usually eat.

Did you have any odd food cravings during your pregnancy?

Though my mamaw normally hated the stuff, throughout all of her pregnancies she craved chewing tobacco. I'm about 6 months along and I haven't craved anything odd yet...

I really didn't have food cravings with my pregnancies until the VERY end (like, last two weeks) During both pregnancies I craved ice!! lol I walked around all day every day with a big glass of crushed ice...can't explain it.
